What to expect

This retreat is designed to support you in finding clarity and acceptance during midlife changes. It offers guidance to connect with nature, others, and oneself, enabling rest and letting go of what no longer serves you.

Daily Nature and Forest therapy sessions, workshops, and discussions will help you gain clarity about the notion of Surrender and its relevance to you personal journey.

Your transformation continues after the retreat I will assist you in integrating newfound insights into daily life by sharing self-care practices and rituals. You will have access to a private Facebook group within the community and the possibility to join our monthly Naturepause session.

The lake house

Our lake house is located just an hour north of DFW in Pottsboro, TX, steps away from the beautiful Lake Texoma.  It's nestled in a serene wooded area and surrounded by walking trails.

Lake Texoma offers great settings for Nature and Forest therapy,  including Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge and Eisenhower State Park where some of the sessions will be held.

  • Do I need any experience in nature therapy or forest bathing?
No experience is necessary! I will guide you through each practice while also giving you the opportunity to connect with nature in a way that feels right for you.
  • What is Forest Bathing?
Forest Therapy is a research-based practice for supporting healing and wellness through immersion in forests and other natural environments taking in all in through our senses. Studies have demonstrated a wide array of health benefits, especially in the cardiovascular and immune systems, and for stabilizing and improving mood and cognition. Forest Bathing is good for both physical and mental well-being. It is proven to reduce stress hormone production, improve feelings of happiness and free up creativity.
  • What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?
If the weather is severe, we will reschedule the session. Light rain can actually enhance the forest bathing experience, so we’ll still meet unless conditions are unsafe. You’ll be notified in advance of any changes. If I need to cancel the session, you can either keep your ticket for the next one or ask for a refund.
  • I’m interested, but I don’t live in your area.
I would love for you to come....For obvious reasons, these session are in person but it you are curious about Forest Bathing, please join my online course, "How to Practice Forest Bathing." It includes a full recorded session that you can do in your local state park—or even right in your own backyard! You can check it out here:
  • What is the maximum number of participants?
The maximum number of participants allowed in a Nature Therapy walk is 10 to ensure that every participant has time to share and engage fully in the activities.
